Nursing Times

June 2021

An investigation into sexual harassment and why it must be tackled is the focus of the June 2021 issue of Nursing Times. Three in every five nurses have been sexually harassed at work and such behaviour is often viewed as “part of the job”, a survey by Nursing Times and Unison has revealed. We also spoke to six members of the profession, from those working in the 1970s to current students, about their own experiences of sexual harassment and Unison women’s officer Josie Irwin writes on why zero tolerance of sexual harassment must amount to more than just words. Meanwhile, the clinical section looks at improving specialist nurse documentation, the principles of ECG, deprescribing in end-of-life care and menopause in the workplace. Plus, don’t miss role model theatre matron Ruheana Begum who carried the lamp on International Nurses’ Day.
